Summer Fun

We have had a BUSY summer.  Our summer started with a trip to Asheville to take our oldest son to Camp Ridgecrest.  What an amazing place - Harrison stayed for 2 weeks and had the time of his life - canoeing, paintball, mountain biking, archery, football, and mountain climbing were some of the activities he got to experience.  Camp Ridgecrest is a Christian camp for boys and Harrison was able to experience it with two of his friends from school - Dane and Ty.  They made great memories together and made lots of new friends, as well.  We enjoyed hanging out with the Rainwaters, the Wiggins, and the Freemans at PF Changs and shopping around in Biltmore Park.  Asheville is beautiful and the cooler weather was such a nice change.

When camp ended, we picked Harrison up, came home, washed clothes, packed up again and headed to Big Canoe, GA.  This was a family trip with Andy's side of the family.  We go somewhere with all of them every summer and it's such a great time - especially for the cousins to play together and reconnect. This year the group included Grandma, Grandad, Phil, Mariah, Bailey, Mike, Amanda, Patrick, Jordan, Anna, Ava, Andy, Harrison, Colson, Marshall, and myself.  One of the highlights of the trip was white water rafting - my first time ever!!!!  I think Andy and Harrison enjoyed watching my nervous self more than anything!  It was tons of fun.  Colson and Marshall had a ball on the rock slide and with the paddleboats.  We all had a wonderful time together.
