Busy, busy!

OK, so this will be my attempt to start truly blogging!!!  I have been toying with the idea for a couple of years now - if you are reading this, and you have scrolled down, you can see I've attempted this a couple of times, but I was definitely not consistent with posting.  I have some friends with AMAZING blogs.  This caused me to be very jealous of the online 'Scrapbook' they were creating for their children!!!!  So..... here it goes.  I am a busy mom of three and obviously that can be overwhelming at times!  I plan to use this as a space to mainly share pictures of the 4 loves of my life - Harrison, Colson, Marshall, and especially - Andy, my wonderful husband!

NYC Trip - Lordy, Lordy Laurie's 40!

Andy and I were able to spend my birthday weekend in NYC.  We had an AWESOME time.  After getting checked in at The Muse Hotel - conveniently located in the Theatre district, we walked around and became familiar with the area.  Next was dinner at Mesa Grill - Bobby Flay's restaurant.  It was delicious  - and fun to see his place!  =)  He is one of my favorite Food Network chefs!  We ventured out into SOHO for a bit, then called it a night!  The next morning got up, and had breakfast at Balthazar's - yummy!  I LOVE this area - one of my favorites is the Scholastic store so I had lots of fun there!  We also checked out the ABC store and Fish's Eddy - and lots of other shops nearby.   Next was the wonderful Jersey Boys - we laughed so much - it was fantastic.  The highlight of the trip was Wicked - it was unbelievable and I loved it.  Andy loved it too - he also enjoyed watching John Smoltz - the former Atlanta Brave!  He happened to be sitting in front of us with his family!  After the show, we stopped in the Hershey Store and the M&M store to pick up some last minute touristy gifts!  And flew to Atlanta the next day - a rainy day in NY - and then on to Thomasville to pick up our sweet boys!  We missed them tons - and can't wait to take them with us to NY sometime soon.

Summer Fun

We have had a BUSY summer.  Our summer started with a trip to Asheville to take our oldest son to Camp Ridgecrest.  What an amazing place - Harrison stayed for 2 weeks and had the time of his life - canoeing, paintball, mountain biking, archery, football, and mountain climbing were some of the activities he got to experience.  Camp Ridgecrest is a Christian camp for boys and Harrison was able to experience it with two of his friends from school - Dane and Ty.  They made great memories together and made lots of new friends, as well.  We enjoyed hanging out with the Rainwaters, the Wiggins, and the Freemans at PF Changs and shopping around in Biltmore Park.  Asheville is beautiful and the cooler weather was such a nice change.

When camp ended, we picked Harrison up, came home, washed clothes, packed up again and headed to Big Canoe, GA.  This was a family trip with Andy's side of the family.  We go somewhere with all of them every summer and it's such a great time - especially for the cousins to play together and reconnect. This year the group included Grandma, Grandad, Phil, Mariah, Bailey, Mike, Amanda, Patrick, Jordan, Anna, Ava, Andy, Harrison, Colson, Marshall, and myself.  One of the highlights of the trip was white water rafting - my first time ever!!!!  I think Andy and Harrison enjoyed watching my nervous self more than anything!  It was tons of fun.  Colson and Marshall had a ball on the rock slide and with the paddleboats.  We all had a wonderful time together.

Welcome to our Family's Blog

Welcome to our family's blog. I have been feeling guilty all summer because I haven't worked on my children's scrapbooks and so my husband encouraged me to do this instead! I am also inspired by my dear friend, Mandy, and her AMAZING blog. I had been feeling even more guilty when I'd read her blog - so I decided to be inspired by her amazing creativity instead! My husband and I live in Savannah, GA with our three amazing sons - Harrison, Colson, and Marshall. Harrison will be entering seventh grade, Colson will be in second grade, and Marshall will be in kindergarten. We are a busy family and have lots of fun together. I feel so blessed to have all these boys in my life!
